What is personal data?
Personal information is any form of information directly or indirectly attributable to a physical, living person. This applies, for example, to names, social security numbers, addresses, e-mail addresses and telephone numbers. This also applies to order numbers and encrypted information, as well as various electronic identities such as IP numbers, if they can be associated with physical persons.
Travel Traders AS is the data controller for the company’s processing of personal data.
Personal data that is stored
We store the following personal data about our customers; Name, job title, address, phone number, fax number, and email address, company details.
We also store purchase history and behavior patterns on our website, i.e. Information on how each customer navigates the page.
Reason for processing
We process the data in order to carry out our obligations according to agreement with you.
We also use the data to provide you with information, offers and services in connection with your purchase via email, telephone, SMS and mailings.

The basis for processing
Information on name, job title, address, telephone, fax, email address, company details is used to fulfil the purchase agreement. The basis of this processing is the General Data Protection Regulation Article 6 (b).

Where you have consented to our making use of your purchase history and behavioral patterns to make recommendations and advertisements specifically tailored to you as a user. The basis of this processing is the General Data Protection Regulation Article 6 (a). You may withdraw your consent to such use at any time.
Collection of personal data
We store the personal data you have provided to our employees in connection with your purchase.
Disclosure of information to third parties
In order to fulfil our obligations under the agreement, the necessary information is disclosed to our partners/suppliers [e.g. Hotels, airlines, freight companies/ferries, activity providers etc.
Erasure of personal data
Data received in connection with your purchase is stored in our active customer register for 3.5 years.
Data we are obliged to keep according to the Accounting Act will be stored for up to 5 years, in accordance with the requirements of the law.
Rights of the registered person
We process your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act and applicable regulations. We would inform you that you may require access to, and removal of, your own personal data, as well as to require correction or deletion of data.
A complaint may be registered with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority for processing in contravention of the rules.
We safeguard your personal data in the case of both physical and virtual access, and access control, as well as by encrypting sensitive areas of the information provided.
